Description

Husband, father and former Royal Marine with a passion for fitness, life long learning and helping people to get fitter, gain more confidence and feel great about themselves.

I first became involved in fitness and martial arts when I joined the Royal Marines in 1986 whilst undertaking the unarmed combat syllabus during commando training and became a keen amateur boxer with a few competitions under my belt, unfortunately, a busy military career and foreign travel interrupted my passion for martial arts for a few years.

Discovering Krav Maga in 2005 I was instantly hooked, by its simplicity, physical demands and trained extensively to become a high-level instructor.

I finally took the plunge and opened my first Krav Maga club in 2010 my second club quickly followed six months later.  In 2011 I left the Royal Marines and became a Close Protection Operative and Maritime Security Operative, looking after high-profile personalities and protecting vessels from Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden, and continued to build my clubs.

Never one to rest on my laurels I am a qualified Personal Training and Graduate Instructor with the British Krav Maga Association.

As a self defence instructor and personal trainer over the last 10 years I have helped men and women in my local community experience the many benefits of martial arts and a fitness lifestyle I truly believe that good fitness and self-defence training should be evidence-based, demanding, enjoyable and accessible to everyone.
