Trent Valley Hockey Club

Welcome to Trent Valley Hockey Club – a club formed as we emerge from Covid 19 with a clear aim to make hockey inclusive, fun and a sport FOR the development of young people and adult volunteers.

We are a Junior development club, operating from U8’s to U16’s with girls and boys training and learning together.

We will also create a Badgers team, 11 a side, 2 adults plus young players under age of 16 and enter the local league – great fun and a brilliant method of understanding the 11 a side game.

We will measure our success by the number of players and parent/guardians that volunteer to support younger players, take coaching or umpiring courses and the smiles and laughter coming from the pitch.

Quality coaches will provide guidance and inspiration to all, we will aim to deliver a 3 hour dedicated Goal Keeping session every month

We will play friendly matches wherever possible, enter teams in competitions and create a social touchline for all the want to positively support players.

Our player and supporter charters set out our expectations for behaviour both on the pitch and on the touchline, it is vital that we create a positive and inclusive environment for all.

Come and try, you don’t need the best kit, we even have a few sets of shin guards and sticks (nice and clean and sanitised after every use) for you to borrow to try hockey for yourself. All we ask is that you invest in a gum guard (Try Makura Ignis Mouthguard on Amazon).
